Access to nature shouldn’t depend on a school’s budget.

City to Sanctuary brings students from Title I schools in Upper Manhattan into the woods, wetlands and fields, every month, all school year. Your gift pays for a visit, a class or a season. Every dollar goes to the program.

“I have never touched a bird or a rabbit in my entire life. This memory is going to stay in my head forever. It was something magical.”
— High School for Climate Justice student, October 2026

What a larger gift makes possible

Seed Members fund the infrastructure that brings the program to a new school, and keep it there.

$1,000

Helps remove financial barriers so more students can benefit.

$2,500

Supports meaningful access, helping offset program costs for a school.

$5,000

A full year of City to Sanctuary for one class of about 20 students.

For gifts at this level, we'd love to talk.

Thank you. For a lot of our students, these visits are the only time all year they'll stand in a forest.

Every child has a right to access nature.
